Neuro Rehabilitation

Specialized care for stroke, neuropathy, Parkinson's, MS & myopathy

60 minutes
12–24 visits, often with home exercise plan

Neurological rehabilitation at One Stop Rehab helps people improve movement, balance, strength, coordination, and independence after a condition or injury affecting the brain, spinal cord, or nerves. Your therapy plan is personalized around the activities that matter most—whether that is walking safely, returning to work, navigating your home, exercising, or keeping up with family.

Neurological physical therapy focuses on functional mobility deficits such as difficulty walking, reduced balance, weakness, coordination changes, and reduced independence after neurologic conditions.

We can help with

  • Stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)
  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Multiple sclerosis (MS)
  • Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Balance disorders and frequent falls
  • Dizziness or vestibular conditions
  • Brain or spinal surgery recovery
  • Neuromuscular conditions that affect strength, coordination, or mobility
  • Difficulty walking, transferring, or completing daily activities safely

What patients can expect

Your first visit

  • A detailed evaluation of your mobility, strength, balance, coordination, walking pattern, endurance, and daily-function goals
  • A discussion of your home environment, support system, and use of assistive devices
  • A conversation about the activities you want to return to
  • Neurorehabilitation may help patients regain mobility, independence, and quality of life after conditions such as stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, and MS

Your treatment plan

Your plan may include:

  • Walking and gait training
  • Balance and fall-prevention training
  • Functional strength and endurance exercise
  • Transfer training, including moving safely between a bed, chair, car, or toilet
  • Coordination and motor-control activities
  • Task-specific practice for everyday movement
  • Education on safe use of walkers, canes, braces, or other mobility equipment
  • Home exercise programs for continued progress between visits
  • Caregiver education, when appropriate

Physical therapy is a core part of neurological rehabilitation and is commonly used to improve mobility, muscle control, strength, balance, and functional independence.

Our Goals

At One Stop Rehab, we focus on meaningful progress—not just exercises. Depending on your needs, goals may include:

  • Walking more safely and confidently
  • Reducing fall risk
  • Improving strength, endurance, and balance
  • Moving more easily at home and in the community
  • Improving confidence with stairs, curbs, transfers, or uneven surfaces
  • Returning to exercise, work, hobbies, or family activities
  • Maintaining function and quality of life with a progressive neurological condition
